Install the Balloon & Tusk app
Installing the app adds Balloon & Tusk to your home screen and unlocks push notifications — so you actually get the reminder two weeks before Mom's birthday, not after.

On iPhone (Safari)

Open balloonandtusk.com in Safari
The install option only appears in Safari, not in Chrome or in-app browsers like Instagram.

Tap the “…” button
It's the circle with three dots in the bottom-right of Safari, next to the address bar.

Tap the Share button
It's the first option at the top of the menu — a square with an arrow pointing up.

Scroll down and tap “Add to Home Screen”
Look for the row with a small plus icon.

Tap “Add” in the top-right corner
The Balloon & Tusk icon will now appear on your home screen.

Open the app from your home screen
Then go to Settings → Notifications inside the app to turn on push reminders.
On Android (Chrome)

Open balloonandtusk.com in Chrome
If you see an 'Install app' banner at the bottom, just tap it — you're done.

Otherwise, tap the three-dot menu
Top-right corner of Chrome.

Tap “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”
Chrome will confirm and add the Balloon & Tusk icon to your home screen.

Open the app from your home screen
Then go to Settings → Notifications inside the app to allow push reminders.
FAQ
Do I need to install it to use Balloon & Tusk?
No — the website works on its own. But push notifications on iPhone only work after you install the app to your home screen. That's an Apple requirement, not ours.
Does this cost anything or use storage?
No cost, and it uses almost no storage — under a megabyte. There's nothing to download from the App Store.
Will my data be safe?
Same as the website. The installed app is just balloonandtusk.com in a dedicated window. Same login, same data, same encryption.
How do I uninstall?
Long-press the icon on your home screen and choose Remove or Uninstall, like any other app.
