I built Balloon & Tusk because I'm exactly the kind of person who needs it.
I'm a husband, a parent, and a professional, which apparently also makes me the unpaid manager of a mental calendar full of birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and teacher gifts I keep meaning to handle “this weekend.”
I care about the people in my life. Caring and remembering, it turns out, are not the same skill.
Like a lot of busy people, I've done the last-minute spiral: the overnight shipping, the generic gift card, the gas-station card that somehow says both “I love you” and “I forgot until lunch.” Not my finest work.
So I started building a better system. You add the people who matter, the dates you can't afford to miss, and a few details about what they actually like. Balloon & Tusk reminds you before the panic window opens, with gift ideas that fit the person, the occasion, and the budget.
The goal is not to outsource caring. The goal is to stop letting a full calendar make you look like you don't.
